WHO WE ARE

Hello, and welcome.  The Desert Haven Inn Inc "the inn"  is a welfare non-profit organization founded by a board of directors that are either veterans themselves, spouses of a veteran, in law enforcement or are disabled. We help veterans with disabilities lead productive, happy lives through our residential animal rescue. We offer vocational training and social opportunity through taking care of animals we rescue. We believe a rescue animal can help a veteran find purpose for themselves. Once they are able to do that, they're able to find purpose in society. Some animals rescued live at the inn permanently on the inn's sanctuary side., Others are placed in our adoption center. The inn does adoptions through our veterans adoption program. We adopt dogs at no cost from sponsorships for veterans suffering mental illnesses. The inn also rescues animals not in our veterans adoption program. The are either transferred to a partnership or adopted out to the public with adoption fees.

 Sponsorships are critical to our organization and are an individual, a group, or business that sponsors monetary to that animals needs and vetting either on our sanctuary side or our rescue side..  Sponsorships rage from $180.00 to $400.00 per animal depending on the animal chosen.
